SASSA Takes Services to Fernie Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering solutions which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency said it truly is alarmed with regard to the large range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a superior number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office committed to service the area regularly. The service stage developed for intervention encounters a substantial influx of likely beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for your office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more means to help the servicing of all customers and enhance entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
